SEMO DUAL CREDIT/ENROLLMENT

Students can now enroll in SEMO Dual Credit/Enrollment classes for the Spring semester.  If you need assistance, please contact the counselor.

 

FBLA

Due to the threat of severe weather Saturday, the FBLA Six Flags trip has been postponed to Saturday, October 25.  If you are unable to attend and need a refund, you must do so by 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 22.

 

SOUTHEAST MISSOURI CAPE REGIONAL COLLEGE FAIR

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors who would like to attend the Cape Regional College Fair at SEMO on October 23 should sign up on the sheet outside the counselor's office by October 21.  This is a one stop opportunity to meet with over 60 exhibitors including both in-state and out-of-state colleges and branches of the military.  Permission slips will be due in the office by October 22.

 

A+ INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Mrs. Elfrink will be having an A+ informational meeting from 5:00-5:30PM (during parent-teacher conferences) Thursday, October 30.  Parents and 9th-12th grade students who would like to learn the eligibility requirements for the A+ scholarship should attend.

 

MO GIRLS & BOYS STATE

Missouri Boys State and ALA Missouri Girls State are eightday immersive programs held in June at Lindenwood University where rising high school seniors simulate state government, run for office, and learn leadership through handson civic engagement.  The cost is $500 per participant for sponsors, covering housing, meals, and all program activities.  For 2026, Girls & Boys State is June 20-27. Participants who successfully complete the American Legion Auxiliary State program are able to apply for scholarship opportunities.  If you would like additional information, please visit www.missourigirlsstate.org or www.moboysstate.org and then contact the counselor.

 

FLU SHOTS

Parents/Guardians, Faculty and Staff,

Cape Girardeau County Public Health Center will be at Delta R-V School to provide the Influenza vaccine on October 22, 2025.

Please visit https://ph-capegirardeau.as.me/Deltaschool to register. Use your personal email when registering as some employer emails block the consent from coming through due to firewalls. You will receive two emails; the first email is a confirmation for registering. The second email is the consent, this MUST be signed to get the influenza vaccine. Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see this email in your inbox. This may take some time to come through and is not immediate. There is no upfront cost for the influenza vaccine. If you have insurance or Medicaid, we will bill the insurance company. You can upload your insurance information within the registration link above.

Please review the Influenza VIS provided. Please register by October 21, 2025.

VFW NATIONAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION TEACHER AWARD

Recognize teachers who care about America.  All current certified/licensed teachers in grades K-12 are eligible. To nominate a teacher, you must submit the nomination form, a resume for the teacher, and a head-and-shoulder photo to the local VFW by October 31.  For more information, please ask the counselor.

EARLY DISMISSAL

We will dismiss at 12:30 on Thursday, October 30th.  Parent teacher conferences will be from 2-6 in the High School cafeteria.

NO SCHOOL– October 31, 2025

CTC is in session on October 31st.  The bus will run as usual.  You are expected to attend.

TEACHER EASE

Please check Teacher Ease to see your child’s grades and if they are missing any homework. You can also see your child’s attendance and lunch account.

 

 LUNCH CHARGES

Please try and keep your student’s lunch balance in the positive.

 

 ATTENDANCE

If your child goes to any appointments please remember to bring a doctor’s note to the office to have that day excused. Example of appointments would be Doctor, Dentist and Counseling. Students are allowed 3 days excused with a parent calling in and then they need a doctor’s excuse.

Tuesday, November 11th- “Time Travel Twins Day” – Pick a past decade and match with a friend in themed outfits

Wednesday, November 12th - “Old vs. Young Day” – Some dress like grandparents (curlers, canes, sweaters), others like little kids (pajamas, stuffed animals, playful clothes)

Thursday, November 13th - “Famous Through History Day” – Come as any historical figure (Einstein, Cleopatra, Rosa Parks, Elvis, Amelia Earhart, etc.

Friday, November 14th - “Dress as Your Class Decade Day”
