
All Senior BETA members are eligible for National BETA Scholarships (over 250 awarded last year: $1,000-$20,000). To apply they need: their member ID, to upload documentation of ACT scores, to upload a copy of their HS transcript. The application can be found at scholarship.betaclub.org with a January 19 deadline.

Picture Retakes are tomorrow, December 8.

Sign up sheet for schedule changes will be posted outside the office Dec 8. All HS students who want a change need to sign up by Dec 15. This includes all dual credit students & those who have discussed a schedule change with Mrs. Elfrink. Schedule changes will not be granted based on student request after Dec 15.

A+ students please update your logs with Mrs. Elfrink by Dec 9th. Logs & sign in/out sheets are available in the office to use. Most seniors currently have 0 hours due to not turning their completed logs in. I know they have hours they haven't logged. They need 50 logged hours to be eligible for the scholarship.

Tailgate class parties will be held for 9th, 11th, and 12th grade Monday, December 12th at lunch in the cafeteria! Pizza and Ice cream will be served!

FFA Members: Fruit, Meat, and Cookie Dough Fundraiser items will be delivered to the school on Wednesday, Dec. 7 in the afternoon. Please make plans to pick up your items after school as we have no way to keep all frozen items frozen overnight. Ms. Swindell will be at the Ag building until 6:00 PM for you to pick up what you sold.

Pajama Day Thursday, 12/1 ! Student Council will once again be hosting a pajama party at Delta High School. Join us in the cafeteria in the morning for donuts and Hot Cocoa ($.50 each) and support a great cause, Toys for Tots


Many colleges have a Dec. 1 deadline for merit-based scholarships. SEMO is doing a giveaway where 1 student will receive a year of free tuition if they apply by Dec. 1. To complete the application process, turn in a transcript request form to the office before Dec. 1.

Dual Credit/Enrollment Scholarship MDHEWD launched the financial aid program to reimburse students for the cost of dual credit/dual enrollment courses. It will help cover tuition & fees for students who meet eligibility criteria. Deadline for fall 2022 is December 1. Apply at https://web.dhewd.mo.gov/studentportal/

The National Stars & Stripes Museum/Library Scholarship Application is in the senior mailboxes (3rd row). Deadline: March 31, 2023. Scholarship amount is $500 even though application says $250. Must be a graduating senior, plan to attend an accredited college in the 2022-2023 school year, GPA 2.5 or above.

Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment/Early College Credit enrollment at SEMO began yesterday. All students who expressed interest were enrolled. If your student would like to enroll for the Spring semester but didn't, please let Mrs. Elfrink know and we will get them enrolled. Seats are limited.

Murray State Commonwealth Honors Academy June 3-24. Open to Juniors with Composite ACT score of approximately 25 & 3.5 GPA or above. Earn 6 hrs credit & receive an in-state full-tuition scholarship. Application can be found at www.murraystate.edu/cha with deadline of March 15, 2023. Ask the counselor for more info.

Thank you to everyone who made our Blood Drive a success! We had 24 viable units. We are extremely proud of our Pint-Size Heroes who helped recruit donors (headphones delivered when we get them), our A+ helpers, & our 9 1st time donors, including 7 students. The workers complimented our students on being respectful.

Beta members who have sold cheesecakes may come and pick up cheesecakes until 5 pm tonight at elementary or you may pick them up tomorrow. Please come to the door by the kitchen. Mrs. Collins’ car is parked right by the door!
