
The GEER II Parent-LEA Reimbursement Grant allows parents to submit receipts for reimbursement to the HS for items purchased from March 13, 2020 to Sept. 30, 2023 such as: equipment & clothing for student's CTE training, Industry Recognized Credentials, DESE approved Technical Skills Attainments, stackable credentials, Dual Credit (completed by Sept. 30, 2023), etc. Please submit receipts to the HS office by Nov. 10.

A+ students please have your updated logs turned into Mrs. Elfrink by Oct. 25. You can come in during Advisory to copy down your log information from the office sign in/sign out sheets if needed.

RootEd Coordinator Chris Nichols along with Delta Ag teacher Alissa Swindell took Delta Seniors & Juniors to the Build My Future Construction Career Day & Industry Showcase at the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Students participated in learning labs consisting of carpentry, concrete, heavy equipment, surveying, welding and much more! The day was full of opportunities for students to explore potential career paths.





Section 167.902 RSMo, requires that the department of economic development shall annually identify occupations in which a critical need or shortage of trained personnel exists in the labor markets in this state. Additionally, each high school shall provide its students with the information before November first of every school year.

Delta FFA members attended the SEMO University Agricultural Field Day on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Tours, demonstrations and interactive stations were held at the Ag greenhouse and Demonstration farm. We received many compliments on how helpful and respectful Delta FFA members were! Way to Go Delta FFA!!



Team Spirit will meet tomorrow, October 10, during lunch to discuss Red Ribbon Week. Pizza will be provided. Students who would like to join Team Sprit can pay $5 to Mrs. Elfrink up until the end of 3rd hour tomorrow.

FBLA members that do not have business attire can stop in to see Mr. Hutson to apply for the FBLA Dressed to Impress Scholarship. This opportunity will award a student from across the state with $300 to spend toward professional dress clothes. The deadline to apply is October 13, 2023. This is open to FBLA members from grades 8 - 12.

Tomorrow's MAP/EOC Trip is CANCELLED due to weather forecast for rain. It is rescheduled for Thursday, October 12. New permission slips were handed out today. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we will need the new permission slips signed for your child to attend & returned to the office by October 11.

Any Delta FFA Member interested in becoming a Delta FFA Officer needs to pick up an application from Ms. Swindell and return by Oct. 9. Interviews will be scheduled after that date if needed.

Big news! We're excited to launch a new 3yr old program at Delta on Oct 16, 2023. This play-based program will nurture academic, social & emotional skills. Specially trained teachers will focus on promoting independence, curiosity, creativity & confidence through defined learning centers. Registration is now open for children who turn 3 by 8/1/23. Program hours are M-F, 7:30-3:06. Transportation required. Potty trained required. Providing an enriching preschool experience allows children to flourish.
