Starting Monday, September 25 buses for Route 1 & Route 3 (Mr. Hutson & Mr. Weber) will be picking up students about 5 minutes earlier in the mornings.
The college rep for SEMO will be at the school during 4th hour on Wed. Sept. 27th. We currently don't have any juniors or seniors signed up to meet with her. MISSOURI CLOSE THE GAP GRANT
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is offering a one-time grant of up to $1500 to families for reimbursement of allowable education expenses. OCT 28 ACT
The deadline to register for the October 28 ACT is Friday, September 22. To register go to act.org. First time registration takes about 45 minutes. Fee waivers, which make the ACT free, are available to 11th & 12th graders who receive free or reduced lunches. Ask the counselor for more details.
FCA will be going on a field trip to Marcus Theaters to watch The Hill on Tues., Sept. 26 from 5:30 – 8:45pm. Please turn in your form and $5.00 to Mrs. Nash by Fri., Sept. 22.

MILITARY SERVICE ACADEMY DAY
Senator Josh Hawley is able to recommend some of Missouri’s most talented & skilled individuals to attend the 4 United States military service academies. A nomination is required for appointment to an academy. The deadline to submit a request for this nomination is September 29, 2023. See Mrs. Elfrink if interested.
US Military Service Academy Day is Sept. 16 9:30-Noon at Jefferson College. Representatives from West Point, US Air Force Academy, US Naval Academy, US Merchant Marine Academy, & US Coast Guard Academy are expected to attend. Reminder: Please enter the high school parking lot from Route N. Then exit onto McKinnley, which is the road in between the elementary and high school building. The parking lot has been restriped please pay attention to the new parking spots. The building opens at 7:30. Please enter the door that says board office.

Parents – the form for Chromebook device insurance has been sent home. It is highly recommended that the device coverage is purchased for your child as they will be responsible for damages they cause to their device. Do not return this form to school. You will call with card payment or mail in your form with payment to the address listed on the bottom of the form.

There is a FBLA meeting Wednesday 9/6 during advisory. Students need to check in with advisor & get your lunch count if you want lunch then go to Hutson’s room.
